There was some good info/advice in this book and I enjoyed it. They do emphasize that the book does not focus on the financial aspects of retirement preparation. But, if you retire with a nest egg of 2 million vs 20 million (or more), it will certainly influence your decisions/choices and lifestyle once retired.

I wish I had had something similar to guide me when I decided to leave the workforce to stay home with my children years ago. Looking forward to using it to guide my future retirement plans and, in the meantime, I will package a Christmas gift so that all my friends/family members who are in their 50s/60s, can order this ebook for Christmas this year.

Hey y'all. I'm the first to admit I didn't think a book could change one's perspective but the short answer is this one did for me. My wife and I have a good marriage except in the bedroom. She does not know I bought this ebook. Work/kids/day to day stress...we had/have it all, not that it's a bad thing. I had a lot of 'ah ha' moments reading this book, as if the contributors were sitting in our living room. That surprised me a little, in fact it was so bang on sometimes that I found myself laughing out loud! Long story short, I stopped getting mad and feeling rejected. Started being more attentive and romantic, (I was pretty good already), and just plain happier. I've already noticed a change in my wife. Coincidence? Could be. But I like to think my own change of attitude and approach from the advice in the ebook has helped put things on a more agreeable track.

I am a 38-year-old, attractive woman whose husband could care less about touching, caressing or making love to me. I realize this book is aimed at love and sex for retirees but I was intrigued to find out what real people were saying about their intimate lives.
Until I read this book, I thought I had the only marriage in America that was a pretty much platonic. It's not that we have no sex, it's just that it is so infrequent, (and always me that has to initiate) - that this makes me feel less than womanly. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in this kind of a marriage.
Now, after reading this ebook, I've learned that I am not alone and I am forever grateful for that. Even though other men still seem to be attracted to me, I had convinced myself that there must be something wrong with me. Now I don't think so anymore. I also learned that I've probably been doing all the wrong things to change the situation. I plan on changing my approach immediately. I get very angry and critical and I can now see how that turns my husband away. I feel much better already knowing that I have a plan. I highly recommend that anyone dealing with a romance issue, read this book. It's well-written and it will make you feel that the Eleanor Rose Team and those retiree contributors, especially, the fellow in Europe who found a much younger wife, opened my eyes about intimacy. For me, this book is a Godsend.

Where was this book ten years ago? We needed the input of all those wonderful retirees who told their stories. That is, their bedroom stories, in this book.
My wife and I have been fighting about sex for over ten years. When we first got married, sex was great but with each passing year, she wanted less and less.
When I saw this book- great title, by the way- I bought it and read it in two days. Several of the, retiree contributors said what I've been feeling to a tee. I couldn't believe it. I asked my wife if she would read it too and she shocked me and said yes. I'm not sure what happened to her, but I can tell by her actions that the book is making an impression. She's been more affectionate and she even agreed to talk to a counselor. We're not out of the woods yet, but for the first time in a very, very long time, I have hope that things can get better and that I don't have to spend the rest of my life celibate.

Finally! Someone is speaking the truth about men who just aren't interested. All you ever hear is that women aren't in the mood for sex. In my marriage of 28 years, it's always been my husband who has no interest in our sex life. This has been very painful and made even more painful by the fact that I have felt so alone. Because no one else talks about men not craving sex, I've spent that last 28 years wondering what's wrong with me! Now I know I'm not alone. This book really gave me a boost. It also helped me see that I don't always handle this situation the best way. I am going to re-read it and ask my husband to read it too. It really is a guide for couples. What a relief!

This book is a no BS study of the role of sex in a relationship. It's pretty comprehensive, and very professional. It recognizes the variety in different couples' needs, and presents a general model for how sex is an important element to a couple's well-being. Yes it’s spicy at times but we will read it together in bed.

Never have a read such a touching book. Some of the stories were heart rending and others were heart-felt. People deal with secrets when they are hardships in different ways. Often in these stories there was a solution but sometimes a secret is taken to the grave. Allowing seniors to release a secret this way and feel that it is now gone from them, is a liberating idea. Good for the Team at FantasticRetirement.com to offer this to retirees.
Debby F. Ontario, Canada
The guilt and shame people feel when they ‘carry’ a secret for a lifetime fills a person with a deep sense of fear of what others would think if the secret was revealed. That thread runs through this book. It touched my heart that my secret conjured up the same feelings as those I read about in this ebook. Secrets take a toll. A good book.
Clarice Y. Utah
This book is a holder to the key of many people’s hidden lives. This book shows that the biggest reasons we keep a secret is that we feel shame around it and fear we’d be judged if it came to light. The more immoral we feel our secrets are, the less likely we’ll share them with others. However, shame is a difficult emotion to live with, which is why people sometimes eventually spill even their most shameful secrets.
It is an excellent idea that retirees were allowed to spill a secret without their identity being know and that they would ‘feel’ that the secret as wafted away into cyberland…gone for good. I’m sure people were relieved that their hidden part was not released. Good idea to put these in a book.
Jackie V. Alberta Canada
I identified with several people in this book. To keep a secret, you may have to go to great lengths to hide any physical evidence or carefully monitor yourself in case something, “slips out.” For example, a person who has decided not to come out to friends as gay, may date people of the opposite sex or hide their identity in other ways to avoid giving themselves away.
I identified with some of the writers that keeping a secret from others can make you feel isolated and less connected to them. Especially among intimate friends and romantic partners, being secretive can create emotional distance—and make you feel inauthentic, as well.
I agree that your reputation could be ruined by a secret, and it might be better just to come out with it and apologize for past behavior rather than try to hide it. But this is not what I have done. I presume, like some of the folks that contributed to this ebook, I will carry it forever.

This is a short read with some very off ‘exercises’ to try. As the author said, she didn’t know why they work, that they were from ancient times, in Japan, but that when you try them, they do work. I concur. I now walk, ‘the old’ way,’ and feel so much better. It allows me to stand up tall. It seems to be true that pain originates in one’s back and radiates out from there. I am trying and adopting the ancient ways, one at a time. I am also surprised at how well they work. When you read the book, you will be doubtful. Just try them. Even things our great-grandparents did seem, ‘novel’ today. Ideas from centuries ago, must have worked then, or they wouldn’t have been passed down.

Thank-you a lot for this easy-to-read book about writing an ebook. I have had an idea in my ‘back-pocket’ for decades. Now, with your book, Retirees Write, I have somewhat of a road map. I am pleased that you didn’t candy-coat the work involved. So many, ‘blow-hards,’ on you Tube talk about making money overnight which I now see is a lie. Dear Hello@FantsticRetirement.com
I had no idea that writing and marketing an ebook was so involved. I also had no idea about what it’s like to try the old-school, publisher route. Won’t do that. I have a lot of information to share about one particular type of garden rose. Now I can get started on researching if anyone else has written a full book about that rose.
I will look upon the writing as my hobby. If I do want to get it on the internet I will investigate, Kindle. Maybe even hire someone to format the book so that it’s done right. You made it clear how many steps there are to producing an ebook. I shall follow your advice about finding a publishing guru, as you called them, on YouTube, that I will follow and learn from. Good book.

Hi Eleanor Rose Team
Just to drop a line to let you know what I think about your ebook on, Writing for Profit on the Internet. I have read a number of books, from the Dummies books right through to Self-Publishing on Amazon, 2022 by Dr. Andy Williams. That book woke me up regarding formatting. I would never be able to do that formatting and it was good that you provided the name of a company where I could hire someone to format. Even building a website. You gave the good and the bad of doing that. Anything technical, I will have to hire out, if I decided to write this ebook on farming machinery.
My wife says, “Just write it and stop talking about it.” She has a point.

Heather K. Ireland
Hello there,
My name is, Heather K and I live out in the countryside in Ireland. For 15 years I lived in Canada, constantly sharing with traveler friends what to see in my home county of CORK. They kept telling me to write a book for Canadians. It seemed like a strange request because there are all kinds of books about travelling in Ireland.
One lady gave me a title: “Help for Canadians Travelling in Ireland”.
On a whim, I bought your writing book for ebooks and have thought about actually doing it. It was cheap enough to buy and I did like the ‘truthfulness’ in it. That ebook is a good, ‘jumping-off’, book. I plan to send a request to my Canadian friends to have them write down everything they would like to know. I do know they want a list of private homes offering holiday, ‘lets’ in Cork. That’s an easy list to do as we drive the countryside every week-end.
Again, I have appreciated your book about ebooks.

It is well written and full of great ideas on how to protect yourself and your loved ones from identity theft. If you have lots of money and time on your hands to lose, then don't read it. And by chance should you become a victim of identity theft, then you will be busy for the next year or so, getting everything sorted out, at YOUR EXPENSE. Remember, it’s up to you to prove your innocence.
The book gives examples of those less fortunate, and really opens your eyes. Since I have read this book, I no longer sign the back of my credit card, nor do I use my interact card for shopping, or taking money from bank machines other than at a major bank branch. You will be ‘smarter’, too, after reading what the Eleanor Rose Team has compiled.

I found this book very helpful. For starters- I don't belong to any " Social Media"- no comment, I don't believe in banking online, checking accounts and I don't use voicemail. I realize there are other ways to be hacked or have one’s identity stolen. This book explains everything and more. Apparently- theft will never end. Just stay aware and be aware. I'm going to do that and purchase the author's other free book. Spoiler alert- the author uses social media......

This free ebook, helps readers in understanding the risks of technology and protecting their personal information, their money, their lives and that of their families. Nowadays, a great part of our life is spent online. We heavily rely on technology to solve many things, from buying goods to studying or consulting the doctor. Sometimes, we don’t realize and we don’t know that we are extremely vulnerable and that we are taking great risks when we go online. When we are at home, we protect ourselves by locking the doors, for example, and when we go out, we also protect ourselves and our things by paying attention, checking for cars before we cross the road or fastening our seat belts. This book really ‘lays it out’, how we should protect our lives and the best way of doing it is by reading this excellent book. I highly recommend it.

I underestimated just how much was in this book. By the time I got to page 7, (and that is only in the introduction), I knew my highlighter and flags would be heavily used.

The book highlights real examples of fraud in an interesting format and gives names to the different types of perpetrators. A big benefit is that readers will not be left naive about the great prevalence of fraud and how so many people are trusted to do the right thing but do not, and it's very often the least suspected that do the most damage.
For me the book changed how I see the concept of trust towards others, as compared to the need for always having sufficient controls in place to deter or prevent perpetrators from doing what they do. People too often voluntarily give blind trust without giving effort to putting measures in place to keep people honest.

Love this ebook and it was free..how nice!! It was an easy read and I appreciated the depth of research that went into gathering all the backstories of so many crimes of fraud. The stories were very interesting and kept me asking myself . . . . they did what? And took how much? Wow!

This book is a good reminder that fraud is all around us and anyone can be a perpetrator: your spouse, your church member, your friend, your trusted advisor. Having some checks and balances, or simply the appearance of them, can go a long way in preventing you from becoming the prey in the fraud game. I would recommend this book to anyone in Corporate America, but especially those that sit in Audit, Finance, and Legal.

The book seems a bit shallow to me. I could have gone to the internet for all those suggestions. It would be work though.

I got this book on recommendation - about half of it I would say I was aware of but I’m not being complacent here. The other half was definitely worth getting it for. Written for the US market it would be good to see a version written for the UK but then the scams would work much the same, but the names of the various agencies would change. Worth reading if you want to improve your awareness and foresight and, of course, improve your security.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT INFO
If you are fed up with these incursions into your life, as I am, pay attention, get smart, and put the scammers in their place, somewhere far away from you and your wallet. Getting them away from your computer or phone is no easy task, but constant checking for illegal usage by unknown privateers is absolutely necessary to protect yourself. Reading, Retirement Identity Theft & Fraud is a good way to become more aware of the dangers out there and how to handle them.

This book was reasonably well written, and the TEAM at FantasticRetirement.com, put together a valuable asset for retirees and non-retirees. It is timely advice and certainly needed to help the reader avoid the many current and likely new scams constantly being cooked up by criminal elements worldwide.
I had been targeted several years ago, when the technology-based scams were just beginning, but I fortunately had enough knowledge and skepticism to avoid being taken. The first was an email supposedly from someone in Nigeria or a similar place, promising that I would be the recipient of a huge sum of money if I responded to the message. It was either from a supposed bank officer saying I was someone's heir, some widow supposedly dying and wanting someone trustworthy to handle her estate for some purpose, or someone who admitting they needed help in stealing from the bank where they worked or to get their family's funds out of the country ahead of a rival regime.
I’ve have had so many such emails over the years, I don't remember specifically which was the first one. And, of course, there are the ones from those who keep invoking their supposed "Christianity" to disarm the gullible and to try to make me think they are honest. And I even got one of the early attempts by someone with a definite Indian accent claiming to work for "Microsoft."
Their pitch was that they had gotten a signal from my computer showing that it had been infected by some dangerous virus and that the caller could eliminate the problem for me. All I had to do was let them have remote access to my computer and pay some amount to them. I listened for a while, out of curiosity, but I knew enough to realize that "Microsoft" would not have any way to monitor the health of my computer and would not call me. The obvious foreign accent was another clue! Of course, I never let them access my computer, and just ended the call.
A couple of years later, I began reading in various news articles about the exact scam I had avoided. Apparently, it often worked, as so many are technologically naive, and one of my neighbors admitted to having fallen for it.
More recently, the majority of scams seem to be based on phone calls, either promising something such as reduced credit card interest, free cruises, lottery prizes, or the like, or fake threats or request for money.
It is surprising how many people must fall for these scams. My advice--be ever skeptical and buy the book.
